Two layers, two jobsThe matte leather outer offers a supple feel and softens with use. Inside, the woven ribbon core provides waterproof, abrasion-resistant reinforcement — the part that actually takes the load.

Soft on the neck, strong under loadA single layer would have to choose between soft enough to be comfortable and strong enough to be safe. Two layers remove the trade-off.

Built for the dog who lungesWoven ribbon does not stretch. When your dog hits the end of the lead suddenly, the energy goes into the hardware instead of into an elastic bounce — easier on your shoulder and on their neck.

Materials

Leather outerMatte, warm to the touch, and selected to age rather than crack. It softens with use and stays comfortable against the coat.
Woven ribbon coreWaterproof and abrasion-resistant, with a fine, dense weave rather than a coarse one — so it does not rub, and it does not hold water or mud.
Matched hardwareBrass hardware on the collar and a gold snap hook on the lead, rated for the load the woven core can take — so the two pieces read as one.

Hand measured — allow 1–2 cm variance. If your dog is between sizes, size up on the collar so it rests comfortably rather than snug.

Care

Wipe the leather with a soft, dry cloth and let it air dry if it gets wet. Rinse the woven ribbon core when needed and allow it to dry. Condition the leather sparingly — once or twice a year is plenty.
